I am a nomad at heart. And a curious one. Living in Paris, I immersed myself in avant-garde design communities. Launching my career at Bloomingdale's, in New York, I travelled the world as a fashion coordinator, product designer, and buyer. Chiang Mai, Thailand is now home, and it is the ideal springboard from which to extend the radius of my explorations.
Intimately acquainted with the furniture and home design business - as at ease in a factory or artisan's workshop as I am in a showroom or at a trade show - I have built a reputation for assessing new product development needs and strategic business opportunities. Adept at optimizing margins, I have designed collections to be manufactured for multiple departments in the home furnishings industry.
My extensive experience in identifying emerging themes led to the creation of my own company, Past and Present, based in Atlanta, Georgia. A high-end retail store offering exclusive access to an assortment of antiques, furniture and decorative accessories. As a product developer with an enviable network of sources throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, I became the go-to person for interior designers and mid to high-end specialty retailers and department stores.
This remains my role today. Constantly travelling the world in search for inspiration. I understand the dynamics of global supply and production. Sensitive to the challenges of shrinking margins, increasing competition, and the volatility of consumer taste, I know the art of profit making.
dwell with me in possibility!Â
